A contemporary family home in the South West of Edinburgh. The property has been carefully designed to achieve the specific requirements of the client, with a large open plan layout and significant areas of glazing to maximise natural daylighting. The house makes use of a simple palette of materials with traditional render to the ground floor and zinc cladding above. A super-insulated timber kit has been used to provide maximum efficiency. The interior has been designed to continue the clean contemporary finish of the exterior. Completed June 2010.
