The internal specification and layout of this
health care building were determined by the specific
needs of the elderly visually impaired residents
and their carers. Working closely with the Royal
Blind Asylum to ensure that the design satisfied
all functional requirements and also reflected
a new age of health care building design. This
large plan building with roof-top gardens was applauded
by the Planning Department despite being a considerable
overdevelopment of the site. Project undertaken
by Susan whilst a partner at Yeoman McAllister
Architects. The development was completed in 2000.
